Show pom parade...

Hanna was in her first parade with her show pom girls...for the Lee Rebels homecoming...and she was super excited. It was a crazy, chaotic time...and my plan of dropping hanna off there and then taking ty to football practice backfired when we got stuck in the congestion of the masses of people. so travis had to meet us at the church (where it was starting) to grab ty to take to practice..and me, claire and jake, watched hanna! there was a lot of running and we were all sweating by the end...but, seeing hanna's face light up and doing her little wave was all worth it!!!
and claire loved the parade too!!

they did a couple cheers...and don't let ty fool you..he knows them too...haha! and so does, claire. haha!

one went like this...
Hanna: "lets go rebels were #1...lets go rebels were #2."
Ty: "hanna, that doesn't make sense...are you sure thats how it goes." haha...
"mom, when you are at the parade let me know if thats really how it goes." lol.

" Big G litte o Go Go.."
"what color is our shirt, what color is our shirt...marroon, marron, marronn..white white white."

she is absolutely loving show poms and we can't wait for their next performance...

Jake's baby blessing..

On Sunday, Sept 18th, our little Jake Thayer was blessed at our church. We have such a wonderful church family and are so thankful they have blessed each of our children...and a special day for, Jake!
Each blessing for our children have been different...and this one added a video..and the kids ,especially Ty, were so excited to talk and show off their little brother.
On our way to the church to do our video, that was going to be viewed for the congregation on that sunday, Ty was so excited and asked if he could introduce Jake..so, of course, we let him and it was so sweet. Even at 6 years old..he still has the sweetest little voice...and such a great heart.

As, many know, Jake's struggle with reflux is not the easiest...bless his little heart just cries and can't get comfy...so, being in public is tough since many just look and stare and typically he has had to be taken out of church until he calms down/falls asleep..so, I prayed and prayed Jake would be good on his baby blessing since we were going to be up at the front for a bit..just wanted him to make it through that part...then he could carry on as he wished..
so, the day came and I had pumped b/c he also likes to eat right as we get to church...and thats also when the baby blessing was going to be...so, i was prepared in case he decided he didn't want to wait. (he's not very patient when he is hungry..haha)..
so, we went up there...well, all but ty...he was too shy...ha...travis was holding Jake..he was doing great..and then started to get a little fussy..and i thought..oh no...it's coming...but, travis repositioned and he was great!! he not only lasted through the church blessing us...but when we went with our elders to pray over him and take communion...he was amazing. He just looked at everyone and when mr, B was praying he was just staring at him..It took all I had not to tear up...i truly felt God was with us and him..and made our baby feel loved, protected and pain free...he did end up eating afterwards and that was his best church attendance so far!! It was such a great morning!
and we are so blessed to have him..he brings us so much joy...and seeing his smiles just lights all our faces up!!! especially, b/c we know his reflux brings him pain so it's so great to see him happy!

Staring at Mom-Mom.

Gifts from the church... praise baby DVD...we love those..a Bible and GCR kids (ty's age) gave burp cloths....such sweet and cherished gifts!

The first member families...

so blessed!!!

the quatroby's!! :)

We love you So very much, Jake!!! so glad you are the final piece that completes our family!! you are just perfect!

Cousins come to town...

Friday afternoon cousins, aunt and uncle and gamy and granddaddy came to town...they made it just in time to see ty and hanna get out of school...I wasn't there at pickup (travis and claire went) but I know ty and hanna were excited to see the pickup crew.
we had a fun night of playing and talking....then saturday we watched ty play his first fball game and then immediately they left for lubbock for the Tech game.
Initially, the plan was for trav and the olders to go to game and spend the night..but, with jake's baby blessing, plans changed, and they just went for the day and came back once game started...so, they got to see all the monumental tech sites and have a fun time running around with the cousins...

and jake enjoyed the festivities from the house...

apparently, hanna wanted a solo pic with raider red...she loves him..haha...

the girls favorite part...

in awe....

the only 3 brave enough for a pic with the masked rider..haha...

they got to hold the cheerleaders pom poms...

just missing one little boy roby...

the game started at 6....but, they left a little after 5 so trav could catch the game at home...so, they stopped by little cesars and grabbed a pizza and headed home....
"Claire, what was your favorite part in lubbock?"
"having pizza in daddy's truck." lol!

ty: " getting a football."

Hanna: "seeing the cheerleaders"

The kids had a great time and were so excited. That night, in their prayers, they each thanked God for letting them go to lubbock..:)
and then crashed! haha!

Jake is 2M...

Happy 2M to this little guy!!!

sometimes I can't believe he is already 2 M and sometimes I feel it has been longer.
our sweet little boy is growing great and healthy..he is still struggling with reflux..but I do believe, with the help of meds he is getting better..not spitting up near as much volume..but still has the frequency and still pretty fussy since it hurts him. so, dr prescribed him nexium since zantac wasn't doing the trick..and he has been on that for 5 days now and I think doing even better. he still has his moments..but all things considering, I feel he is doing better. so, hopefully he will continue and will soon outgrow it.

Since he still eats every 2 hours he has learned to eat anywhere!! haha!
however, since starting Nexium, he has gone 4-6 hours a couple of times.. once I put him down at night..so from about 9-1/2ish...depending on the day.
he definitely sleeps the best when in his bed.
one of travis' Eteen people heard jake was having a hard time..and got us a "shhh machine." haha...I had never heard of it, but it literally says, shhhhhh, over and over, like a sound machine..and it's little and portable..so, it could go places. I of course used it...b/c we will try anything to help him...and i'd say he likes it..:)

he attended his first parade..haha..

He has taught me patience (since he cries a lot b/c he hurts and can't get comfy)....but, I have chosen to find Joy and not frustration..which leads me to love him even more.

He had his 2M check up ...and wasn't too happy about it..but, while waiting on his shots to arrive..found a comfy spot and took a little snooze...

tall and skinny...

look at those rubber band arms..hehe...

big smiles and still rockin the blues..

He wiggles around so much..I lay him at the top of bed..and he either turns to this position or I find him all the way at end of bed.

cheered on the red raiders to a victory..

and the cowboys...

we love our little boy so much...happy 2M, jake!

Claire's turn...

Finally, the tueasday after labor day...Claire got to head back to school. She was so anxious and so ready to go!

That morning she was dressed and ready to go, with back pack on...by 6:30...we don't need to leave until 8:10 haha. she was just so excited.

I intentionally waited to take her pic until ty and hanna were gone so she could have her own time to shine in a pic....so, when it came time to take her pic I said, " claire, let's take your picture for your first day of school."
Claire: "but, who am I going to take my picture with?" haha
good thing we had jake..lol.

our big girl.headed to the big green door...

ready to go...

had to pull her back for a pic..she was ready to get to class..
once she walked in..she dropped her back pak..and never looked back...i yelled, "bye, claire, i love you" across the room..lol.
glad she will miss me..hahaha!

It's funny b/c last year, when it was just Ty in big school, I would feel guilty if we did anything fun but now I try to find fun things for claire to do, since 2 are at big school now..haha!

not only did she start back to school...she also started the long awaited dance...
she could not have been more excited...i was so happy for her...
We got there about 20 min early because we neeeded to get her new tap and ballet shoes that morning so, since we were the only ones there and she saw an empty room...she looked in the mirror and started doing hanna's old dance recital dance (since we all know it..haha)...the workers were cracking up at her...and also sad to know hanna wasn't going to dance this year.
claire loved it..as i knew she would..and so glad she has her own special time!

so, since hanna decided to not do dance..I switched claire to a morning class, we can have 1 day of no after school activities..

so, claire does dance mon 10-10:45
and

hanna is now in Show Poms.. (a non-competitive cheer/dance squad)
she.could.not.wait.

she goes Monday 3:45-4:30....

and has already had her first performance..at the lee high homecoming parade...she had so much fun..and was worth the running around, claire, jake and I did trying to watch her...phew..that was contested...travis and ty had to be at fball.

she asks everyday after school if she has show poms...so, seems she loves it!

with labor day, it brought a slew of new activities..but, we choose to let our kids be involved...so, we accept the busy schedules..and are happy to be their Uber XL haha!
