Summer Fun...

With only a couple weeks left until school, I wanted to do some activities to make the summer end on a fun note...
Can't believe it's already august and school starts soon!! wow!
There isn't a ton to do around midland...but we managed to find some fun activities...

One day we went to Susie's South 40..for a candy tour...
I have never been there but knew they had daily tours at 1:30..so i thought it would be a good after lunch snack time...who knew the tour would last almost 2 hours..haha
but, it was super informative..and the kids got to make their own chocolate covered oreos...and we sampled pretty much all the candy in the gift shop..and of course, couldn't leave without some of our own.
It was fun..something different, and indoors.haha!

that weekend...we were going to go out of town..but decided it was a little too early with jake..so, we stayed here and found bowling and a little outdoor activity at alldredge gardens...made for a fun morning and afternoon..

family fun day....:)

we managed to catch $1 bowling...that was awesome..winning...

and they had $1 hot dogs and drinks...again...winning...

then we hit up the fiesta at alldredge...
face painting and balloon making were a hit...

of all the face paints..ty wanted a zombie...which went with his balloon gun...
oh dear!!!

hanna was a beautiful butterfly..and both girls had unicorn balloons..

it was a fun day..and jake eventually had enough of the carseat and wanted to eat at his own house....so, home to rest and eat!

we crashed an incoming kinder party at the park..and the kids loved seeing their friends. the positive about school starting is friends get back into town.

bunch of beautiful mermaids...

a normal trip to the grocery store...hanna looked a ton better than me...lol. curls and high heels...

and then one night we had an extremely unwanted visitor at our back porch.....eeeeekk...baby rattler...luckily, travis saw it while he was outside with all the kids..aaahhhh....and was able to kill it!

the next day hanna got to have her own girl playdate  bc "I never get to have playdates" so....she got to have some of her little girl friends over...they had a blast...all kinds of playing going on..and Hanna showed her face painting skills..lol...oh dear!!! it was a mess!!  but they had a blast and made her day...even though anna, elsa, sophia and repunzel couldn't make it...she is still stuck on those princesses coming to a playdate!

after her friends left..I fed jake and went up to check on ty..and found hanna here...she couldn't even make it up the stairs..haha! successful playdate!

these 2!!!!
Ty got to spend the night with a friend where he stayed up until 1am and woke up at 7...

so, saturday, afternoon travis took the kids to driving range..for some father-kid time...

Sunday at church they prayed over the kinder class as they get promoted to the big 1st grade class upstairs....such a sweet and special moment. we absolutely love the children's ministry at our church and the amazing volunteers who love our kids and help direct! so very thankful...perfect way to start a new year!!

before school...
haircuts take place
and a good mani/pedi...got to add a little sparkle...:)

little sis got to get her nails done too...

and meet the teacher...

mixed emotions about both kids starting...but both kids are excited and we are excited for hanna...and Ty is ready to get back in the saddle.

uniforms are set out and thanks to pizza day right out of the gate, no lunches are being packed here...so, midland academy...2 roby's are ready for you...

pre k 4..here come sassy pants/mother hen Hanna
and 1st grade...Ty is ready for you..

prayers for a great first day and awesome school year!
