Last Day MDO...

These two girls had a fun last day of school luau....aloha summer!!

They had such a great year...both had such great classes.
hanna's was all girls and 2 boys ( i think 1 boy was added near the end) and they were friends before school it made the school year super fun for them. We will miss them next year...such a fun group.

Claire had several of her friends from the previous year....but such a fun group where their personalities came out and vocabulary, learning, nap mats, potty training, etc. so much going on at this doubt that class wore those sweet teachers out. haha.

these silly girls are inseparable and love each other so much. hanna is constantly looking out for Claire and Claire is constantly looking for hanna! haha!

my how did they grow...and can't believe how much claire's hair has grown.

and it was hanna's last day at she will be attending pre-k 4 at Ty's school in the fall. She could not be more excited and is so ready...we are excited for her but I will miss her tremendously!

My little momma hen!!!

sad leaving this group of friends next year.!! sad growing up and moving on...

she was hula dancing all day after I picked her up.

Not sure how claire will do without her big sister next truly is a concern of mine! Hopefully having a new baby brother will help distract. ha!
which means claire will be the lone roby at mdo..for the first and only time...ha!

Thankful for our wonderful school and teachers....but ready for summer!!! let's do this!

Beginning and end of 2015-2016 school year!!!

Let our summer adventures begin...

first up..sophi's 5th bday party, ruidoso, san Antonio and summer camps...

Kindergarten Graduate....

I will never forget walking Ty down the hall to his kindergarten classroom..the day I had dreaded for years, with tears streaming down...I took my little boy to his classroom, helped him get his breakfast ( I just couldn't resist...that was my job) all the while trying not to embarrass him...i think I failed miserably...but, he never once mentioned it!
It was the strangest feeling dropping him off, and just having the girls from 8-3:30....that day I was at pick up an hour early..I was so anxious to see my little boy and learn all about his day!
It did help however, having a little "spy" on campus who just happened to know my phone number and would text me to let me know Ty was doing great...and that he had time to eat all his lunch..(one of my concerns) haha!
and now, it's hard to believe 9 months later, it was our norm..drop off was a lot easier....and someday we didn't get to pick up at 3:30 bc the girls may have actually fallen asleep...but, I still haven't got use to not having him all day...and doing things without him. I never wanted to take the girls to do much during the day bc I felt we were leaving ty out...and i didn't like that! Thankfully, with their busy gymnastics prohibited a lot of extra playtime.
And we were always super excited to pick him up everyday and love on him...he always loved to hear, "ty now we can kiss you all day." from his!

Finally, on May 26th he was an official kindergarten graduate and was out for the summer!!! woohooo!!!!

But, a few days sooner, on monday the 23rd at 6:30 the kindergarten class had their Kindergarten celebration and received their certification of completion!!! They sang a few songs of knowledge they had learned..and then each had their name called to get their certification..Ty could not have walked faster for that...haha!

Sadly, on that monday, I got my first call from the school nurse...saying ty is throwing up and to come get him.

hanna was running a fever the night before and that, I decided there was a link and figured it was, the dr we went....and sure enough...both were positive! so, ty had thrown up a few more times that day, never ate, but he really wanted  to attend the celebration and I just hated for him to, I decided to let him go..but not to touch anyone. I know, that was not nice from a parent role..but, I just couldn't stand to let him miss his one and only kinder graduation!
So, we went and he was pretty much just there...he sang his songs, did his motions...but, I don't think once cracked a smile! haha! but, he was glad to be there. I just hated he didn't feel good! also, didn't help that he got bitten by an ant...and so did, that didn't help our evening. ha!

We are so very proud of Ty and the success he had this year...he is on a 2nd grade reading level, made new friends, his spelling and writing is extremely legible, principals award twice, star student multiple times, never got in trouble and truly loved school. he had the best teacher who was fabulous and helped contribute to his success..she was so great!
but we were ready for a little break...and super ready for summer!!!

Great job very proud of you!
Kinder celebration.
Ms. Pearson's class with 15 kids...where the girls outnumbered the boys...

he and his best little bud...

he really was proud of his diploma...don't let his somber face fool you..haha! it was the 102 fever talking..ha!

and the wonderful family picture...
2 with strep and ant bites, and one sleepy toddler!
but, we all cheered for ty and was so happy for him.

and a pic with the superintendent...hehe!

we are so sad to be losing ms. pearson..she is getting married and we are sad the rest of the kids won't have her. she was great!

Ty's First Field Day...

Field Day is always a fun day...Ty was super excited about it...and couldn't wait until Friday.
Pre-k- 1 went from 9-11...and each grade wore a different color t-shirt.
The kids stayed in their own classroom groups and just rotated around the 12 events. so, just a little friendly competition amongst your class. A lot different from what I grew up with...but hey, they don't know any different and they all had a blast!

ty and his posse...

First up was the obstacle course....then a little scooter swimming relay..goggles and was pretty funny....

then to the bouncy houses...girls in a princess one, boys in Avenger....they had a blast in that!

sisters being pesky sisters...haha!

then to a little relay race...

and a water event...i thought Ty might opt out of did Hanna...haha..since he's our child who doesn't like to get his clothes wet...but, he was all about it....I was so proud! lol.
they were given little communion type cups and would fill them up with water from the bucket and would try and get the other side of classmates wet...they had a ball!

Luckily, the fog and clouds dissipated and it was a gorgeous hot morning....

ty has 2 loose, you could find his fingers on his teeth wiggling them everytime he was in line waiting..ha!

now to the sponge race....dip a large sponge into water...pass it over your head to the person behind you...last person squeeze out the remaining water into the bucket....

several perks of having your mom-mom as the being a baby holder for awhile..haha! Ty didn't want his sunglasses to get wet during the water, claire wore them..hehe!

lots of wet kiddos...

a silly face dress up kinda race...

treasure deblums were hid underneath some frisbees and kids had to run, pick a frisbee to turn over and see if any coins with most at the end won....
this was ty's favorite....i think bc of the parents running it....they were a lot of fun!

off to sword fighting...they all knew the rules and had been practicing in had to get the noodle/sword in between their feet....
They were all so excited about this one...
ty and his best little school friend were a pair...

and now a torch race...

get your stick, run and grab a bean bag sack, place on your stick and run and place sack in your hula hoop.

and a potato hockey race...
i have visions of our potato heads becoming hockey pucks now..haha..

and a little chop stick race...pick up your animal with the chop sticks, run and place in hula hoop...

and after 2 hours..the girls were done, and hungry and the olympic games were over..ha!
love our little, soon to be, Kinder graduate...he had so much fun!

but, this little one loves, he could not wait to attend the book fair. He had gone on tuesday to make his "wish list" and hit up his mom-mom friday morning before school to grab a few...since she swung by and took him to school that morning...(Travis had been gone since early thursday..and it saved me a back and forth trip drop off and field day)...thanks mom!
but, after field day, Ty got to go back again, and it was the girls turn. they chose some good books.

2 thumbs up for his first Field morning watching him and interact with his classmates..
