christmas adventures...

having cousins is the best...and we are so lucky/blessed to have them close in age (on both sids of the family)...always a playmate and adventures to be had...

the presents/spoiling continued the day after christmas...

can't have christmas without matching jimmies...kid and adults !!

before the bad (cold, rainy, windy, snow/ice) weather hit the kids made the most of their time outside...trav and I took them on a "buggy ride" around the lake!

the boys took a walkie talkie on their adventure and left us with one...pretty fun..not going to lie..

but then sophia took over as "mission control"

(side note..mom's delicious desserts)

on our way to adventures....

started by throwing rocks...

then headed to "indian ruins"

then along "turkey beach" for some shell collecting...

everyone was stinky, muddy and cold...so, a big bubble bath was in store....

ready for a little beauty shop..

cold front/bad weather hit that night...we we stayed warm and cozy the next day!!!

claire had the best idea...my little heater!

What you do as a dad you must continue as a Grandpa. The best and easiest hair brusher there is!

Dance party to, none other than, "Let it Go."

Tuesday...mom and dad had to leave for dad's oral surgery...remember that toothache he had on christmas day..turned out to be a huge infection that needed a tooth pulled (almost 2)..and my sister and kids left..so, it was just me and the kids...after a little game of chase , trouble and a pickup bball game...ty finally sat still and crashed! only to wake up in time for dinner and red raider fball game!

tomorrow morning we head to gamy and granddaddy's house to finish up our christmas and ring in the new year!

Winter wonderland...

Although it snowed, a ton in midland, it snowed an inch or snow here at the lake...so, the kids were able to play a little. most was ice..but a thin layer of snow could be found.

The boys were all about the snowball fights..and the girls (well, sophia) hanna and claire weren't huge fans of the cold! (must take after their mom). were all about the snow ice cream.

After a little playtime and gathering snow for ice cream...everyone came in to warm up...and have a morning snack of snow ice cream...then it was time for round 2.

We got the mule, a kiddie pool and a ski rope..and rigged up a little sledding action! The boys loved it..as did claire and sophi! hanna was a little too cold.

it was fun being outside!!!! and a good thing we played that morning b/c later that afternoon it was pretty much all melted.

round 2...

Claire was antsy to have her turn....so she rode with ty!
brady figured out how to put robe around his knees and he had some really good runs....
if ty feel out of the "sled" he would just hold on to the rope and ride on his belly! he loved it!

Then it was time for thawing out, lunch and hot chocolate...
mom mom spoiled them and with homemade hot chocolate with whip cream and marshmellows!

a fun morning in the snow!!!
