Ty is 4...

Today at 11:47pm...4 years ago...I was blessed with a beautiful and healthy baby boy! He was and still is absolutely perfect!
I love him so incredibly much and he has become such a smart, caring, lovable, ninja turle lovin, sweet, sweet little boy! I could go on and on...
He makes me laugh and keeps my brain working with all the questions...but, that's how we learn.
Weighs 38lbs and 41 inches tall...

He wants to be a Hunter when he grows up...but, no matter what he decides..I know I will be sooo proud of him.

The Kid LOVES his ninja turtles!!!

Ty woke up...came to find me.( i was feeding claire) and I sang him Happy Birthday...I told him, "Ty you are 4 years old now." and he said, "What? I'm 4 already?" haha...
He said, "mommy, I'm just going to lay right here." Which is not unusual...when they wake up early and find me feeding Claire, both kids will either lay beside me or crawl up in my lap and rest their head on the boppy....
But, then my sweet little 4 year old ended up throwing up....since Travis even woke up early to spend more time with Ty on him bday...I yell, "travis, come here quick." and travis rushes ty to the bathroom...
We both thought...oh no, the stomach bug!
He was trying to act tough but we could tell he wasn't feeling too hot!
He had been asking me for Birthday pancakes for a good week...so, he still wanted them....

This was right before he got "sick"...

and this is how excited he was about his breakfast he had been looking forward too for awhile...poor baby.....didn't even touch it.

Like a great mom...I sent him to school anyways...he had been up close to 2 hours before we left for school at 8...and only had that one episode...and he was soooo excited about taking his bday cupcakes to his class...so, I let him go...and worried about him all morning and waited for the call from the school...and then right before lunch I got that call...not b/c he threw up but bc he had a 101 fever...so, I went to pick up my bday boy...
He told me he "was cold and that's why they took my temperature"..and then he told me, "my knee hurts" and later when we got him ,"right here (hips) hurt from my underwear and pants." I thought..oh dearr...all these symptoms (vomit, fever, chills, body aches) are all classic signs of the flu...NNOOOO!
he crashed in my bed for a few hours.....(I was trying to keep him quarantined from claire..plus, I had brady and sophi)..
During that time, I tried to get him into our dr...but she was full for 2 solid days...they referred me to another clinic..who was also booked for 2 days....so, I called Medcor...a clinic for pioneer employees and family (who travis works for) and got him in the next morning. Great perk! until then, we just waited, cuddled and watched cartoons!
One of the saddest things was the fact he wanted to see and play with Claire...but I wouldn't let him get too close...and his little face would look so sad..and it just broke my heart! He loves both his sisters...is very protective of Hanna and is constantly loving on claire....sweetest big brother..

when he finally woke up he opened a bday card from his cousin mccain to find lots of NT stickers..he was so happy! made his day.

brady and sophi left, hanna went to dance and claire was napping so it was just mommy and ty cuddle time...and he told me..i will never ever forget, "mommy, you make me feel better." ahhhh...i am tearing up now...I hated more than anything that he was sick and on his bday...but hearing those words melt any momma's hearts! He sure is one super special little boy!

Our plan was to go to chick fil a (his choice) for dinner but due to the circumstances...daddy brought it to him..bc he still wanted it and what the bday boy wants..he gets! he had not eaten all day..and he ate every bite of his dinner...

and even asked for some bday cake..
We just prayed it all stayed down..and it did!

Next day, we took him to Dr...to just double check..even though he hadn't had a fever since late afternoon the day before, he looked and acted sooooo much better..but, I really wanted him to get flu test just to be sure...and it came back, NEGATIVE!!! YAY...we all celebrated!
guess, it was just a little virus of some sort...that is now gone! whoohoo!
he told me, "mommy, I know why I was sick  yesterday...because, when you turn 4 you get sick for one day." hahaha! at least he was in good spirits about it!

Hanna was being so sweet and making sure he was "otay" and of course, being the dr...and giving him a "checkup"
So, glad he is felling better...and is ready for his NINJA Turtle birthday party saturday!

Love you, Ty Lankford Roby!

"Excuse the Mess"...

There was a time when I was super organized, clean and slightly OCD...ok, i might still be the last one, according to my husband, but the other superlatives have left me...
I mean, I still TRY to have a clean house, and TRY to be organized..but with 3 kids...it's gone out the window!
My house has now been taken over by Ninja Turtles, baby dolls and a real life baby and all her things...I am constantly picking up toys..but they just seem to keep regurgitating...and laundry and dishes...phew! It's never ending...

So, for now...I need to get the sign to hang at my front door that reads,

"Excuse the Mess..but We Live Here."

Could not be more true for our family...plus the west Texas wind, dust and grass doesn't help either!

So, I apologize in advance if you come to my house...because more than likely..it'll be a mess! but, that's what friends are for....not to judge..right? ha! or maybe mine just have sympathy for me and continue to be my friend...haha...

One reason why dishes are never ending is because we love to bake..
I was in charge of snacks for hanna's class this week..a morning and afternoon snack....so during her nap time Ty helped me make these Whole Wheat Graham Crackers....they were delicious..even Trav loved them...and the teachers said all the kids loved them as well....super easy to make and seriously taste like a graham cracker..but better.... click here to get the recipe..

What little girl doesn't like Ninja Turtles...

we try to stay outside...but with the crazy wind and a 3 month old it has it's challenges...but, even when they can play they always just want to hold claire...

this is what happens every t/th when the kids get home from school and claire gets out of her carseat...they are immediately all up in her face! poor baby girl.

Travis left for houston friday so thursday night, we joined the kids in our room while they were getting to watch a show...down time for the whole family!

but, even with the mess of a house....I honestly wouldn't change it..these 3 are my pride and joy..and worth every mess! It may drive me crazy...but, nothing a glass of wine can't fix! haha j/k!

Hanna the Ham...

Hanna has quite the personality...of course, like most kids, she becomes shy around others..but at home..she is quite the Ham...

She is also quite the mommy...she isn't the greatest about obeying her mommy..but, she is great at telling Ty the rules and is great at being bossy! She is kinda hard to understand and when she gets on a tangent her words seem to roll together...so, she'll sound like a QB calling the play with her finger pointing...bossy britches.
She treats all her baby dolls like we treat claire...and they always go "poo-poo" which requires a handful of wipes that come with that.
She also thinks any child under the age of 5 is a baby and will treat them as such..doesn't matter their size..
When Claire drools..which is constant...she will run to get a "wipey" and wipe her mouth off...which includes the whole face!
She is much more daring than Ty..and is always climbing on things..if it is higher it's fair game to climb on..so she thinks.
She loves the color pink and anything that sparkles...along with her jewelry!
She still sleeps on the floor...why I have a bed in there, I have no idea...should just get her a sleeping bag! ha.
She actually carried claire from Hanna's room to Ty's room...while I was putting away clothes in ty's room! AAHHH!
she uses third person a lot...and will say, "hey, what about Hanna?" or "What is Hanna going to have?"
She HAS TO give everyone kisses before nap or bedtime..or it's not happening...she is a lover!

The other night...while she was, again, at her door instead of in her bed..she usually calls out, "mommy" 100,000,000 times...well, she apparently heard commotion in the kitchen and stops her "mommmmm-mmmmyyy" and says, "Daddy, is that you in kitchen?" hahahha..we couldn't help but bust out laughing...she totally busted trav! LOL.

Sunday at church, as we were getting out of the car, she decided to jump to travis while he wasn't looking and face planted on the pavement...obviously, tears streaming...I thought for sure her face was banged up...but surprisingly, no scrapes, cuts or blood. Checked her hands...they were good too. I thought, wow, got lucky on that one.
well, I had to feed claire first thing..so, after I finished feeding her and came to sit down in our pew I saw her knees were all banged up..holes in tights and blood all over her knees. Didn't even think to look there initially b/c sure looked like a face plant.
I tried to take her tights off..but of course, since the blood was making them stick to her "boo-boo"she wouldn't let me..and I figured me nor the church wanted a big melt down in service...so, I just let her wear her beat up tights to class.

Since she failed to sleep the night before, she fell asleep in the car ride home..so, we just took her to bed  once we got home..but naturally, she woke up in that process..but she stayed in her room and laid at the door yelling, "i can't eat bc I have a boo-boo." hahaha....
Ty would open her door for her but she would quickly close it bc, "Ty, I have a boo-boo."
It was then my turn to open her door..and after she would tell me the same, "mommy, my boo-boo." I told her she's fine and to come eat...which again, "I can't eat...I have a boo-boo."
I mean, i know her boo-boo was hurting but she was milking it for all it was worth and being a drama queen in the process...which in turn was cracking us up.
I would be across the room and she would say, "Mommy, be careful, I have boo-boo."
This lasted alllllll day...lol. She would even walk like an elderly lady...hunched over, without straightening her knees....no doubt, it did hurt to straighten/bend her knee..but it made us laugh so hard.

She finally forgot about her boo-boo...so we try not to even bring it up...b/c she'll be back to milking it. haha.
and that was not her first boo-boo..nor will it be the last...but, for whatever reason..she wanted to make this one known!
However, it was a great lesson...since she learned she's not as invincible as she thought...and will now sit in the chair, instead of standing, after I remind her of what could happen..and she'll respond with, "I don't want to do that again." hahahaha. Lesson learned! :)

her scrapped knee...she was covering up the other one..

She also LOVES to dance...she definitely has the shake part down.. CAN.NOT.WAIT for her recital in May! :)
The other night...when she decided to have a slumber party...without the slumber...I was tired so I let her come to bed with me...I turned the TV on..b/c she wasn't going to bed anytime soon..she was WIDE awake...and I found the SEC gymnastics championship on...so we watched that....and she was glued to the TV...she absolutely loved it...and would try to mimic their moves on the bed. until she saw a girl fall off the balance beam..and then decided she didn't want to do that! haha.
The only thing she is interested in watching is..football, intro to bubble guppies and now gymnastics..

her real life baby doll...poor claire...

In other news...
Ty is still LOVING swim lessons...he actually gets so excited about going and still can't wait for the next lesson and gets so excited after class to tell me all about it!
It's so great as a mom to know your kid really enjoys what they are doing...and his teacher is great..they both just laugh the whole time...she told me, "he entertains me." and I am proud of him for not being shy and actually talking to her!

This little sweet pea, is just that....sweet!
IN FACT..Claire had a monumental saturday and ROLLED OVER (2-15-14) at 3 months!!! I had to assist her the last part...that stinkin arm wouldn't get out of the way...but she did it! so proud! :)

it's been GORGEOUS here lately...minus the wind today...so, we've been at the pond almost daily...
today at our pond excursion..Hanna decided to throw Ty's obstacle course cones for his bike in the pond for the ducks...we tried to hide the scene from Ty..but he caught on...enter meltdown.
So, he and trav went back to the pond with a fishing pole to try to get them but apparently they had already sunk....oh, the joys of little sisters!

while daddy and ty mowed...we girls hung out! well, claire tried to nap...but when you have a leech for a sister...makes nap times difficult!

Toddler-hood has it's very tough days..but, it's also a very fun age...and Hanna for sure keeps me on my toes...and makes me laugh constantly! very entertaining...a mess...but a cute mess!

Valentine's Day...

Typically, I am not a huge valentine's day fan....I mean, I feel you should show the ones you love them daily...but, since I've had a pretty stinkin' good valentine for the past 6 years....I appreciate the holiday a little more and it's fun to show them extra love on Feb 14.

This year at school Ty got to make a valentines day box..of course, it was a Ninja Turtle..Rafael to be exact...
He got lots of goodies..but actually, not much candy at all...bittersweet feeling...glad he didn't get it..but I secretly always go through their stuff for myself..hehe...not so much this year!

Hanna got a bag of goodies too..
On valentines morning the kids always get a few little gifts from us and this year it also included little powdered donuts for breakfast...and i found myself saying, "No, hanna..you can not have your sucker until you eat a donut....lol.

Hanna's craft at the valentine's party at church...she did such a great job...and soon Claire will get to dance the night away with her daddy! :)

the kids valentine's....I also stuck with the "non-edible" valentine...and they gave bouncy balls...and for hanna's class I made the super easy, yet delicious, chocolate dipped sugar wafers...adorned with sprinkles by ty and hanna!
I got a new silhouette machine for christmas and I put it to use and made their teachers these cups..filled with single lemonades..that said, "pucker up, valentine)....

My 3 little valentines...

Ty was so sweet and told me, "mommy, I love you to Katy and back."...I take that as a huge compliment! haha..as it's abput 7-8 hours away...

Travis said, "hey, what about me?" and ty said, "I love you to Abilene and back." hehe..i win...since that's just 2 hours! lol.
sweet little boy...who said his valentines were, "hanna, claire, mommy and daddy." :)

while kids were at school brady and sophi helped me take care of claire....brady said, "It's a tough job taking care of a baby." lol. but, they LOVED helping me push the stroller and would sing songs to claire to calm her down..haha! Such sweet big cousins...

Time to pick them up and for class parties....

to mom-mom's and grandpa's afterwards...
Grandpa and 2 of his little girls...

Ty's sweet valentine to Trav and I....so cute..

On friday...trav surprised me with not only a massage...but scheduled me an appt for that afternoon...which is the gift itself! I was pleasantly shocked...absolutely wonderful! I use to get massages frequently...then i had kids..haha...during massages, I typically talk for a good portion..bc i never know what to do..so i do both..silence and chatty...well, this time the only thing I said, was, "thank you, that was wonderful" at the very end! ha! I was completely mute mouth..and, I'm not going to lie..it was great...just the relaxing music in the background! however, the whole time my mind was on the kids and trav wondering what they were up too..envisioning what was happening...and secretly hoping I wasn't going to leak milk on the sheets! haha...
It.was.perfect....

we usually include the kids in our vday dinner..bc we never go out...but, since the kids were tired (said their behavior) we decided to let them eat and once they were in bed, we'd eat! Excellent decision.

I had to feed Claire her bedtime feed at 8..and while i did that my sweet hubs put together a romantic table setting...lol...and put on music! soooo sweet!
Dinner was excellent but having a nice, adult conversation..uninterrupted..was the best!
Thanks babe for a wonderful valentines!
