"Better Out than In I Always Say"...

Well Friends..it seems that if Ty doesn't come by Thursday the 25th we will definitely meet him then! yup, that's right, I am being induced on thursday at 5:00am..(whew, so early but worth it). Travis and I were so excited to hear when the Dr. said, "Well, you can either come back here next week or you can be induced." That was a no brainer for me....I said, "induction please"haha! So the dr. left the room and went to see what day and time was available while travis and I really discussed what we were really going to do! All that to say, we are scheduled to see Ty on thursday! Everything is still going great...I am progressing that is why we can schedule the induction! yay! WE ARE SOO EXCITED! Finally, after 9 months we can meet our little baby boy!
Since I have been off work for the past 2 weeks the first week I was...well...bored! since i didn't have much going on I felt absolutely useless...laying around all day is not fun for me. so, saturday I had a great idea pop in my head...i'll ask my sister if I can keep brady for the week that way I have entertainment and Casey and Daniel can have some time to themselves. After consulting with Travis I called her up! Luckily for me my parents were at the lake and picked Brady up on their way home and brought him to his aunt lindsey and uncle travis's house were we have been playing all week. You might think chasing an 11 month old when I am due anyday would be tiresome but actually it has made me less tired because I have a purpose in my day now! He has been quite entertaining and a blast. Travis loves him just as much as I do so it's neat to see them interact and play and Travis loves to put him down to sleep..he says he has a "knack" for it! haha! As for the diaper changes Uncle Travis leaves that up to aunt lindsey still. No offense to Brady, but Travis says he'll only change his son's diaper. lol! Guess we'll see how true that is in a week! Plus, having Brady here has made travis and I realize some things...like...working the humidifyer, knowing our monitors work good, and the main one..Cooper! Cooper usually gets to come inside for a little while at night but since brady has been here we haven't let him in while the Bradster is in the house. As Travis likes to call it, "they take turns." Once Brady has gone to bed Cooper gets to come in until we go to bed... so, until its Cooper's "turn" he sits and barks outside the backdoor. Usually we try to tune out the barking but now knowing his barking could wake up a sleeping baby we decided to invest in a bark collar...and it is working! :) Needless to say, we are ready!
so that's the update! next blog might just have pics of our baby boy! :)

No Progression...

At the doctor today I have not progressed since last visit. So we are still hanging out! he did tell me he was going out of town this weekend...which wasn't supposed to happen when I first asked of his traveling plans from the get go! Soooo....he told me not to go into labor but isn't this a sure sign that most women do! haha! i wouldn't mind if Ty came this weekend but I prefer to have my dr. there! however, T
y seems to be pretty content in my belly. we go back in a week to see how I have progressed and then decide what to do from there!
hope everyone is staying warm and safe and have a good weekend.

Getting Creative

Although most people disagree with me I am now HUGE! Ty, I suppose, is tired of people thinking he isn't going to be a big baby and has decided to grow a lot in the last few weeks...or maybe Travis's plan of "plumping me up" is working..haha..either way..my belly is stickin way out! Consequently, I am running out of clothing options. yes, I have maternity clothes and jeans (my fav) but quite frankly I am just tired of wearing them. I have begun raiding closets searching for items that I can make due with! I have now resorted to coats worn as dresses..thank goodness for leggings/tights..and yesterday I even went as far as borrowing Travis's clothes. Well, I have been borrowing his t-shirts for awhile now but yesterday for the superbowl party i went as far as wearing a button-up polo of his, put a belt around the top of my belly (thank goodnes i am carrying low) added tights and whala..it was a dress..lol! yes, again, thank goodness for leggings. So, the moral of the story is...if you live around me watch out..your closet might be next..boys or girls! haha! I am soooo ready for Ty to get here for multiple reasons but one is due to the lack of clothing options. I know you are probably thinking..why don't you go buy more clothes. Well, to answer your question a) i was really thinking I wouldn't have to wear them much longer and b) spring clothes are now out and then the rollercoaster west texas weather isn't helping much seeing how one day it's a beautiful 68 degrees outside and then next it's 41 with rainy/winter weather. So, i'll just make due until he gets here! :)
During our last Dr. visit I tried to get the doctor to deliver Ty..luckily, my doctor cares about me and our baby and wouldn't do it! apparantly there is a reason for a "due date." haha! but, i suppose it was a good thing because I had a mani/pani scheduled for the next day! HA!
Travis and I are ready though. Actually, it is pretty crazy because in a few weeks ,regardless if he comes early, Ty will be here; thus, making us parents! After 9 months of being pregnant we keep forgetting that a baby really is going to come out! :)
Also, a lot of people are wondering about my job situation. As of last week I am not working. i thought I could work up to the due date (2/27) but well, the 12 hour shifts got to me! fortunately, I am blessed to be able to stay at home after Ty is born until further notice. Luckily, with my profession I can go back at anytime..which I plan on doing! So, yes, I am staying home with Ty and being a full-time mommy! :)
I guess that sums up the updates. I'll keep yall posted after our dr. appt on thursday!
